Statement on Gaza
I believe every human life has equal worth. That principle does not change based on nationality, religion, or politics.
What is happening in Gaza is a genocide and humanitarian disaster. Civilians are being killed in staggering numbers. Hospitals, schools, and basic infrastructure have been destroyed. Entire families have been displaced and cut off from food, water, and medical care. These realities cannot be explained away or ignored, and they demand accountability under international law.
Criticizing the actions of the Israeli government and its military is not antisemitism. Antisemitism is real, dangerous, and must be confronted wherever it appears. The same is true of Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism. No community’s pain justifies the dehumanization of another, and protecting human rights requires moral consistency.
The United States should not provide unconditional military aid to any government engaged in widespread civilian harm. Our foreign policy must be rooted in human rights, the rule of law, and the protection of innocent life, not shaped by political pressure or lobbying interests.
I support an immediate and lasting ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, the release of unlawfully detained civilians, and serious international accountability for violations of human rights and humanitarian law.
Lasting peace will not come from occupation, collective punishment, or endless cycles of violence. It will only come when both Palestinians and Israelis are able to live with freedom, safety, and equal rights.
If elected to Congress, I will put people before political money and human rights before political convenience.
